I would be very interested to chat with anyone who has any information about these people. I have seen some posts about a Sidney Edgar Hayman .. would like to know if he is the person I'm looking for.

I believe that Sidney Edgar Hayman is my great grandfather. He had a daughter called Marie Enid Hayman born in 1920's who is my maternal grandmother ( I have never met her as my mother was adopted).

I’m sorry if I’m not up to speed on this .. I only found this website today!
I have a copy of my grandmothers marriage certificate which states her fathers name as Sidney Edgar hayman. Am I not allowed to post about living people? I believe my grandmother may be alive still and I also know where she lived until recently and believe she may now be in a care home. Trying to track down other members of her family.

Are you sure that Marie .. has now died as we are not allowed to post the names of possibly living people.

Do you have her birth certificate to confirm her fathers name

If she is who I think she appears on fairly recent electoral registers

I agree with rosie99 - she was certainly still alive in 2015 in Sussex (where her husband died in 2000) and had lived at the address for 28 years.   Could possibly now be in some sort of care facility.

There is only one birth of that name and that was in 1920's Lambeth - would be 90's now if still alive.

The Sidney E. who married in Durham seems to have moved to London.   However, he appears to have been born in 1890 and died 1958 Bromley, Kent.   He appears to be the son of a Tom and Elizabeth and was born in Clapham as plain Sidney/Sydney.

The Sidney Edgar of the thread referred to is a different person and bc.1865 - he did himself have a son name Sidney but was a Sidney Henry.

Do you have the 1920's birth certificate?   Are you sure her father was named Sidney Edgar Hayman?
