Oh I meant to add a link to a really beautiful map. It shows two properties owned by Thomas Strother and another labelled Mazurier. I am overjoyed :)

Bell's Military History, 1782 continues to show Thomas as -
Dep. Com. of Stores and Pro., Garrison, Mobile, salary £73 per annum.

Mazurier (Thomas' wife's name?) proving very elusive.
