A.R.P. Organisation of N.E.S. Co Ltd

I have a 1939 image for a Nicholas Greener, aged 59 who lived at 37 Lister Avenue, Dunston.
His occupation is listed as a labourer at power station, which I'd guess to be Dunston.

It also has a note to say he was enrolled in the A.R.P. Organisation of N.E.S. Co Ltd.
 
Obviously the A.R.P. is air raid precautions, but could anyone confirm I am on the right track in thinking that the N.E.S. Co. Ltd was the Newcastle upon Tyne Electricity Supply Company who commissioned the power station at Derwenthaugh in 1908?

Or am I clutching at straws and its something totally different?

North Eastern Electric Supply Company (by 1939). Formed in 1932, amalgamating the Newcastle upon Tyne Electric Supply Company and all of its subsidiaries under one company.
