Her age is down as 41 although there's a son George aged 30 b. Audlem in the listing.

Mary's birthplace is down as Standwick, Cumberland but should it be Stanwix a suburb of Carlisle?

I can't find a likely marriage for Mary.

So Mary's maiden name and spouse please.

The census also shows another son Jeremiah born c1840. There is a birth in Nantwich Union with mother’s maiden name Cook.

EDIT A Jeremiah Poulson died March qtr 1861 Nantwich aged 60

Jeremiah could be the one who married as a Widower, a Mary Bowman 19th May 1851 Wolstanton, Staffordshire.
Jeremiah a Labourer Father Jonathan occ Weaver Mary a Spinster Father James occ Blacksmith witnesses Thomas/Jane Bowman

A Mary Bowman aged 32 unmarried b Warwick, Cumberland is with her married brother in 1851

I'm finding this study somewhat complicated -there are Jeremiah Poulsons sprinkled over 3 locations and the cheshire/staffs/salop borders weave amongst them.

I noted a death of a Jeremiah Poulson 24 October 1852 and thought it could be the 'widower' cited with Thomas Platt & family in the census you mention.

I thought that the Cook from Cumberland might be Mary Cook, born around 1824, daughter of Walter and Mary.

If so her daughters Ann and Catherine Poulson stick with her in Monks Coppenhall 1871 & 1881 censuses until Mary's death in 1886 aged 68.

Hi the Jeremiah Poulson death 24th October 1852 was aged 70 from the death registration on the GRO Index, the 1851 Jeremiah was aged 49 with the Platt family?

UKCENSUSONLINE doesn't throw up any Poulsons in Audlem in 1841 -it's riddled with errors generally though.
