Hi Flip

A good way to try to expand on the family is look at the censuses.

This looks to be Mary with family in 1891:

James Farral 36  Iron Worker b. Ireland
Ann Farral 30 b. Ireland
Stephen Farral 8 b. Old Monkland, Lanark
Mary Farral 1Month b. Old Monkland, Lanark

Address: 67 Dundyvan Rd, Coatbridge

Looks like a second marriage for either James or Ann?

Have you got a copy of the marriage certificate? If not, go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and invest in some credits. use some of them to download an image of the certificate.

This will tell you, among other things, where Mary was residing at the time of her marrage, and whether or not either of her parents was deceased.

Armed with this, find the listing of Mary in the 1911 census and use a few more credits to download a copy of it. With luck, this will list her siblings, and if both parents were still living it will tell you how many children they had had together and how many were still living.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

No birth reg for a Stephen Kane or Farrell.   If Ann was previously married to a Kane then Stephen may have been born before that marriage and registered under her maiden name

You need to check the 1901 and 1911 censuses for other siblings born after 1891

There is the death in 1901 in Lanark for an Ann Kane/Farrell, aged 39. Might be worth you checking to confirm if this is Mary's mother?

Guessing you have the 1890 marriage reg you mentioned which will also help you to reconfirm her parents' names?

I wonder if Stephen could have been the Archibald Steven Farrel born in Dalziel district in 1881.Then again, possibly not, as I've just noticed that you said James and Ann married in 1890.

There is also an entry in the 1901 census for an Annie C Farrell, aged 38 and born Ireland. She shows as a patient at Lockhart Hospital in Lanark.
