I read them as

Archibald Farrell
Brickburner (deceased)
Sarah Ann Keegins
formerly Farrell
Maiden surname O'Neill

There is a death in Dalziel, Lanarkshire in 1911 that might fit for James' mother as she showed as remarried in his marriage reg in 1874:

Sarah Ann KEEGANS/Farrell/O'Neill, aged 75.

Age maybe a little light?

I wonder if Sarah Ann's marriage might have been mis indexed?

There is this marriage showing:

Peter Keegan and Sarah Donnelly
2 May 1870 in Old Monkland,Lanark

There is this entry in 1871 - as transcribed:

Peter Kergan 33 Labourer In Iron Works b. Ireland
Sarah A Kergan 41 b. Ireland
Mara Kergan 7 b. Coatbridge, lanarksh*
James Kergan 42
An Kergan 37
Jane Kergan 8
Ether Kergan 3
Margaret Kergan 3 Months
Henry Mccrady 48

Address: 96 Burghill 4th Rod, Wishaw

* I think this is Mary, daughter of Archibald Farrell and Sarah Ann on 8 November 1862
OLD MONKLAND, LANARK.

If it is the correct marriage entry for Sarah Ann, it will hopefully help you fill in the blanks in respect of her parents' names.

I saw the trees, Flip. Something for you to follow up there with the details they show.

The marriage of Mary shows her as a domestic servant, residing at Cleland Townhead Newarthill.  The names under her name are the witnessess to the marriage and show again on a further column to the right.
