Metropolitan Police records 1930 to 1946

A somewhat unusual  request. Rather than looking for details of someone who served  in the MPS between those dates I'm trying to find out if my grandfather, who died in 1946, was ever "spoken to" by a constable. Grandad served throughout WW! and nowadays would have been diagnosed with  PTSD. Such  a diagnosis didn't exist in those days but I do know that he was a very violent man. Does anyone know if there's a way of finding out whether police were ever called out to his house or similar - constable's notebooks or crime reports?

Not much chance - MPS stations kept something called "occurrence books" that would record some incidents (but not all), and as far as I know only a representative sample have been kept, in series MEPO 11 at TNA, Kew.

Newspapers would be your best chance - if the incidents were serious enough.
