Mary Simms
« on: Thursday 11 August 05 10:55 BST (UK) »
Anybody out there have a Mary Simms in their tree?

She married John Nelson on 01 Jan 1810 in Hatton or Barton on the Heath.  I'm trying to discover whether she was the Mary who married my John Nelson.   My couple lived in the Banbury area of Oxfordshire, but I know Mary was listed as being born outside the county on the 1841 census for Oxfordshire - they had a son John, born circa 1814 in great Tew but christened in Banbury.  John Nelson was a stonemason.  Ring any bells with anyone?

Regards, Julie

Hi, Julie.
Did you find any more information on John Nelson and Mary?  Their marriage can be found in the Barton on the Heath parish registers. I found them while looking for my Slatter/Sclatter  ancestors.

Oh! What a tangled web we perceive,
where ancestors try to hide and deceive.
