Morning, I'm looking for the births/baptism for the above who is my gtgt gran born abt 1799 in Wiltshire. I'm not finding it but see Cards and wonder if it's the same family. Getting a bit confused 😕

Hi Rosie, just abt to post that after remembering that gt grandad was born 1854, I had another look and it seems she was born abt 1826. I must stop looking at folks trees and believing them!!!! Away now to have another look. Huge apologies and many thanks for the reply. Elaine

I see there is a William George Barnes aged 22, married Louisa Jane Willis in 1875 Westport Wilts.

Could this be the William you refer to? Agewise is about right.

On Anc..y there is a tree showing William Barnes married to Jane Caird in 1843 in Lambeth.

Do you have any firm info to help?

Hi Alan, thanks for the reply, yes, I've just found the marriage for William and jane, they're my gtgt grandparents. I've spent the last few hours trying to find her birth, no joy yet. Will keep at it. Cheers, Elaine

Does the 1843 marriage give any information on her father.  Who were the witnesses

Where was Great grandad who was born 1854 born - what was his name and where does he appear on census in 1861

Hi, the only mention of marr is the record of william marrying in 1843 and showing poss brides and one is Jane caird. Wm and jane were born in Stratton, wilts about 1825. Just can't find her birth to get parents. I have Williams ancestry, it's just Jane I'm stuck with.
