Is there some reason you haven't bought her 1930 birth certificate?  That will have the names of both parents.

She may have been an evacuee from Newcastle - hence away from parents in 1939.

I assumed I would need her parents names to purchase her birth certificate. But I will look into getting it to confirm the names.

No you don’t need the names to purchase the certificate- you purchase the certificate to find out the names!  The index details are all that is required to order the certificate from GRO Online for £9.25.

Here’s an online account of an individual child’s experience of being evacuated from Newcastle to Cumbria in September 1939.  Perhaps Frances’ experience was similar?

Hi,

I now have my grandmothers birth certificate  16th November 1930

I’m looking for details of my grandmother parents, They are Christopher Henderson and Florence May Hughes.
In my searches I’ve found a possible marriage record for them October 1914 in Newcastle.

I know her mother died when she was very young, unsure how young though.

Her father when she was 14/15 about 1946 in an accident, he died in the ambulance on way to hospital when it broke down Northumberland area.

Any information to get me on the right track would be greatly appreciated as even tho I have there names I keep hitting a wall.
