You should find everything you need at GENUKI - https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct

Or, for societies only, try http://www.safhs.org.uk/members.asp
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

Arthurk and Monical -

Thanks ever so much for your responses to my inquiry about Scottish genealogy societies and archives. I am finding it very difficult to research my Scottish relatives from here in the US.

Again, thanks for taking the time to respond to my quest for information.

Regards,  yn9man

I wonder why you are finding it difficult? Almost all of the basic information about births, marriages, deaths and census is online at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
