Game Playing Problems
« on: Wednesday 17 October 18 18:58 BST (UK) »
I currently use the Royal Games website to play games.  I have been having trouble lately with the website saying I haven't got the latest flash player, but I have.

Sometimes I can make the games work by clicking the Skip It button but it is not working this time.

Below should be screenshots showing what comes up and that I have the latest flash player on my computer.

How can I solve this please?

Your Flash Player appears to be version .108, and the games site is saying you need version .122

I have a programme called Patch My PC and if you look at the middle picture you will see that I have the .122 version.  I am using IE for the games.  I'll do another check and see what it comes up with.

Well my son has gone all round the houses but can't seem to get IE to download the .122 version of Flashplayer.

Any ideas of how to solve this?

Hmm, interesting - I have looked at the Patch My PC app and I notice that in the list of Browsers IE is not there.  ???

So presumably that means nothing is updated for IE?

What therefore do I need to do to get the .122 version of Flash Player on IE?

Have you tried going to control panel & selecting Flash player? In the window that opens there is an Updates tab, select 'Check now'.

Or go to the Flash player website, click on 'Player download center':

According to Adobe you have the current version, that could be why you weren't able to update.

I don't understand why the third picture in your first post shows the older version, unless all your update attempts actually worked in the background.

The acid test is to see whether your game playing problems are now over.
