Does anyone know anything about a shop or firm called skinners in kings lynn. I think it may have been a rag trade or rag n bone establishment.

It became a scrap yard & stopped in about the early 70s. Cottages & a restaurant have been built on the land since then. My OH says he remembers taking old car batteries there. We knew the couple who owned it quite well at the time. Their name wasn't Skinner but the place was still called Skinners.

You might be able to find out more by joining www.kingslynn-forums.co.uk, there are lots of old photos & knowledgeable people on there who will probably be able to tell you if you post a query.

Good luck
