Have had a prompt reply from the  Colchester Cremation Office. They will be in touch with me, as soon as they can.

Fingers crossed.

Not too sure about that.

The lady from the  Colchester Cremation Office has  got back to me and said she has  had a quick look and of course, will have a further look later but, have you tried Chelmsford Crematorium?

I told her I have contacted the Chelmsford Crematorium and they are going to look into my enquiry.

If they aren't at either  Colchester or Chelmsford, then I have no idea where they might me   :-\.

Thank you

Is there a family grave elsewhere, the only other large cemetery and crematorium is Southend, did you not have a member of your family die within the Southend area, or perhaps I am mistaken

Is it both of them you can't find?

Hopefully they will come back to you

I am not aware of anyone being buried or cremated in the Southend cemetery.I'll need to look up where Southend is.

Have just been in contact with Chelmsford Crematorium and they have found Elsie Mary Kiidman- she was cremated on the 25 February 1981 and her ashes in the Lawn of Remembrance.

Still to find Joseph Kidman died 1970 who may have been buried in a Churchyard, somewhere, as they did  more burials around that time. She is going to search the 1970 records but, as there are only 2 members of staff and are very busy, it could be a while before she gets back to me.

Had a look on Google and there are so many Churches in  Southend.

It is just a thought  - perhaps Joseph is buried where, I do not know. His wife Mary died  1981 and her address may have been a Nursing Home and, perhaps her son decided to have her Cremated   :-\.

Will see if the lady from the Chelmsford Crematorium finds anything.

The lady from Chelmsford Crematorium has been in touch to say she has found Joseph Kidman.

The late Mr Joseph Kidman, passed away 13/JUNE/1970, his cremation took place on 15/JULY/1970 and his cremated remains interred on our Lawn 1 .

So pleased to know  they are together  :).

Thank you for your help Louisa.
