My attempt, although I must say I've had trouble reading the hand-writing on this one:


Here is a true English girl, after having suffered the horrors of sea-sickness.  We have had a very bad crossing but the sun ...... August arrives.  Worthing is very nice and our holidays are starting well.  A word from you would give me pleasure.  I hope that you will go ....  Sending you my best wishes,

Nous avons eu en effet une très mauvaise traversée mais le soleil a remis tout d’aplomb.

We had indeed a very bad crossing but the sun put everything back to rights.
