That does look like our Matilda! I've managed to find a transcription of the baptism on FindMyPast but does anyone know if there's an image of the baptism record anywhere?

There is a baptism in High Wycombe 30 March 1804

That definitely fits with Matilda being baptised in March 1804!

And a Marriage there also;

Clementina married 1869 to John Goddard in Bucks.
Richard looks to have married 3 times;
1843 to Harriet White (she was buried Reading 18 Sep 1850 age 29)
1853 likely to Mary Ann Lee
1877 to Emily Tilling

I cant for sure say that the 1800 Richard is not yours but as I couldnt find a Burial 1800-1808 for that one. But as I said a Richard is christened 1808 to a Richard/Ann in Birmingham.
I dont have access to actual images (I'm in Australia) but the info is on Familysearch.Org.

I see what you’re saying! I’ve got an instance elsewhere in my family of two brothers with same name, the elder having died in infancy, but as you say if there’s no burial for the Richard born in 1800 it makes things a bit uncertain. I’ll have a look and see if I can dig anything out. 1800 is nearer the census age!
