Hi there  :)

The period you are in is too recent to be able to view images online for BMDs on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Likely best to order first the marriage cert as this will include both groom and bride's parents' details.

Marriage is showing as Anna Doyle m Swan in 1966. Refs 644/1 420 in Glasgow (South).

Additional detail on Anna's death at the age of 78 in 2010 is that her mother's maiden name was Wilson. Refs 2010 605/ 147 in Glasgow, Martha St.

Once you get further back it will hopefully be easier to view records online. Although, with Anna boen c. 1932, this cert will also need to be ordered.

See that your friend's father has also passed. His details show as:

Andrew Frederic SWAN, aged 70.  Mother's maiden name Nicol. 2001
Refs.613/ 902 Glasgow, Martha St

Added: His birth shows in 1930. Refs 644/6 1451 in Springburn.

There is actually a possible birth for Anna:

Anna Doyle b. 1932 in Scotstoun and Yoker
Refs. 644/23 832

To confirm and expand you need to verify her parents ect from her birth cert and marriage reg.

Just guesses here...!

If that 1932 birth was to be correct one for Anna, there is a possible marriage that could fit with Doyle for father and Wilson for mother (from her death reg index entry):

Peter DOYLE and Margaret WILSON 1925 in Scotstoun and Yoker
Refs. 575/2 137

All to be confirmed of course.... ;)
