St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England 1803
« on: Wednesday 24 October 18 17:32 BST (UK) »
I am using Ancestry, a hint I received was for a birth and baptism record from 1803 St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England, however, from other records they show living in America. I can't imagine they took the child back to England to have baptized. Other people saved the info on their tree and show roots back to England for several generations. Would/did families back then file a report/record from America with the church to finalize it? Was that common or done at all? I just want to wrap my head around it before I confirm it is there recorded.  Thank you for your help. Rebecca

Stephen Bond b 2 Apr 1803, bapt 22 May 1803St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire

Sorry it was not a match.  Maybe if you post your query on the appropriate country board someone might be able to help find your Stephen Bond.
