I see that when John Herbert Williams and Sarah Everett married at St Mary, Islington on 23 Nov 1841 he was a victualler, of Bunhill Row - so not local to Marylebone.

Have you got a date of birth or place of birth for the parents so that we can pick them up on the census.

Birth on freebmd - do you have the birth cert?  If so - what was the actual date the birth was registered?

Registration without a christian name is suggestive of a child who has died very shortly after birth.  Even if he only lived for a minute - his birth would have to be registered

Question - would the death be mentioned on the birth cert??

No, an infant death (however soon) wouldn’t be mentioned on the birth certificate.

Miichelle hasn’t come back with more details about the family, but I wondered whether the suggested names of “Herbert or Benjamin” meant that later records for them showed sons named Herbert and Benjamin of the right sort of age to be this child?
