Sturgeons of Enagh/Annagh, Monaghan
« on: Thursday 25 October 18 23:05 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Think I’ve made my first connection across the Irish border and was wondering if anyone had any research assistance. I generally use PRONI to find my family but as this individual is in Monaghan I’m not too sure, and I haven’t discovered enough about her to even make sure she is indeed a relative.

The connection is a Mary Sturgeon born to a Jeremiah Sturgeon in around Enagh/Anagh, near Emyvale. She married a James Patten/Patton on 10th October 1845 in Aghaloo, Tyrone. Presuming this is the correct couple, they are my 4th great grandparents through their daughter Phoebe. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Co. Tyrone - Robinson, Little, Potter, Crawford, Menary, Millar, Murphy, Hackett
Co. Armagh - Magowan

Religion?
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
