I think husband Thomas may have died in 1850 aged 58.  He was 45 in 1841 but with rounding he could have been 45-49

Can’t find any death for Betty pre 1851 but can’t see her in 1851.  So when did she die?

You refer to her as Betty Elizabeth Burt in your opening post.  Where does the Elizabeth come from as the 1814 marriage only shows her as Betty as does the 1841 entry.

Again - have you found a death for her?

"I found a James Miller Burt who married a Susan Angus and think they may be the parents"

Looks good with the names but when & where?

Would the marriage fit with Betty/Elizabeth's YoB?

Susan wasn't a common name which could be significant?

The only Susan Angus marriage to a James on SP was to James Miller in 1773 Clackmannan.

Nothing on FS either

Sorry Carole, I'd been searching for so long my brain was haggled and I was getting confused with Thomas' parents.

I think I've found Betty's parents.  Her father is George Burt who married Betty who is also named as a Burt in 12/05/1785, Dunfermline.  I think these are looking promising, what do you think ?

Reply #8 - “I found a James Miller who married a Susan Angus”

Reply #9 “James Burt I mean”

I'm confused as to who the parents of Thomas were i.e. can you be specific to help us please?

If you don't have a death with parents names for Thomas, how do you know who his parents were?
