Gorman . Father and son in R.W.F
« on: Friday 26 October 18 16:13 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with the Army records of this father and son.

James  and son William Henry  buried in Wrexham.

JAMES GORMAN, LATE OF R.W.FUS. WHO DIED MAY 25TH, 1883. AGED 46 YEARS.

Wm. HENRY (PITT) LATE BAND SERGT, 1ST R.W.FUS. WHO DIED NOV 14TH, 1906. AGED 33 YEARS.

In 1881 James 45 b Ireland is living in Wrexham   he is a militia sergeant . His wife is Margaret.
there are  William aged 8 , John aged 12 and others.
Also there  is this child Ellen May  Gorman,  birth reg 1880  J qtr  Wrexham  mmn TAYLOR
According to 1881 all children were born Ireland, but this looks like a lazy enumerator as in 1891 there is John 22 b Newport Monmouthshire with Margaret still in Wrexham.

I have this found this  birth registration
William Henry Gorman   birth 12 Jul 1873 :Kildare, Ireland
Father: James Gorman   Mother: Margaret Taylor
