Mr Checksfield the butcher
« on: Friday 26 October 18 17:08 BST (UK) »
In looking for any information about a Mr Checksfield who had a butcher shop at 23 High Street in Pembury prior to 1911. His shop was taken over by Charles Crouch who was at this shop at the time of the 1911 census but Charles Crouch was not there in the 1901 census.I couldn't find a Checksfield in Pembury in the 1901 census either so perhaps he was only a butcher there sometime after 1901 but gone by 1911.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Rosie beat me to it. The name is definitely Chacksfield rather then Checksfield.

Thank you both for your reply. From what you gave me I was able to find the two brothers and now have all the information I need on this topic.
