A little unusual for Mary to be head of the family with John as "husband."  :)
She is working he isn't.

I had a look last night as well with no joy.
Lot of the 1901 Census is missing from online. Without knowing where they should be it's difficult to suggest where the missing return could be found. The local Heritage/ Library usually have them on microfilm.

Did you look for Marriages of oldest children to see what address they were at?

I have had a look but I'm not coming up trumps. I've not been able to figure out if "Nancy" is the one my grandmother knew as Annie/Hannah - no further record of her for marriage or death that I can find. Timothy got up to all kinds of trouble, but can't find his marriage record either. Patrick and John both died (another Patrick born later), and then Mary wasn't married until 1919.

I enjoyed this too - not surprising if the women in my family are anything to go by :)

Thank you so much for taking a look, the Heritage Centre is a good call. I'll get in contact with them.
