Royal artillary 1811 woolwich
« on: Saturday 27 October 18 06:57 BST (UK) »
Just found my 5x  ggrandfather John Joy was a gunner with the royal artillary in 1811, he registered his daughter Elizabeth's birth at woolwich  and on IGI it states she was baptised at The Scots Church in Woolwich..
I've looked on army sites for his name and year but I'm not getting anywhere at all, could someone point me in the right direction please...

Many thanks

Oh that could be him, wish they had printed names and not wrote cursive,  can I find out any more do you think? Thought it might lead me to where he was born etc. Plus more children,  many thanks. Xxx
