Mae or Mary Frances nee Gibbs Williams bc 1896 New York
« on: Sunday 28 October 18 11:32 GMT (UK) »
The above was the wife of George Washington S Williams 1891-1946 who was the topic of another post. However the above according to the censuses was born in New York whilst her father was born in California.
George and Mae had 2 sons, George E 1915-1993 and Joseph or Harry bc 1923 but I can't find his birth, nor any details about him and Mae after the 1940 census in Kings, 8419 Fifth Avenue. At George's marriage which appears to be 23 Oct 1914 in Kings, Mae is recorded as Mary Frances?

Thank you very much Erato and RJ137, I've e-mailed the cemetery as you suggested. Were you able to find out anymore about Harry or Joseph Williams?

Had reply from the cemetery which throws a spanner into the works, they say:
I was able to locate George Williams buried on January 10, 1946. He is in the section of Redemption, grave #1153. He is buried with Mary Schweizer, buried on September 28, 1983. ????

That's good news!

It appears Mary must have got remarried after George died to a "Schweizer". And then was buried with her 1st husband George Williams.

The DOB listed on the SSDI for Mary Schweizer is the same as the birth record Erato posted for Mary Francis Gibbes (28 Aug 1895).

SSDI: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JKTD-7X7

The question now is....who did she get remarried to?

Thank you once again, Sandra, for finding out that Mae or Mary married again and the facts about Nancy whom I was unaware of anyway. Did they have any more children other than Nancy?
