The mysterious Alain IMESON also spelt IMISON
« on: Monday 29 October 18 09:53 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to trace a Alain IMESON also spelt IMISON who fathered a daughter Margaret bapt 1760 in Rylstone, Yorkshire.

Other than Margare't birth I have found no record of him anywhere though I did find an Alain IMESON mentioned in an article as living in Bordley in 1760.

My guess is that the last name is incorrect and spelt quite differently but I can't think what other spellings could be used.

Any help would be great appreciated.

Many  thanks
Wildermoth/Wildermouth (Ireland, England, France); Byrne, Whelan, Keenan (Ireland); Ellis (Cornwall); Bambrough (Durham), Newman (Durham and Norfolk); Watson (Durham); Mattison (Yorkshire); Kirker (New Zealand and Ireland); Pirie (Scotland); Campton (unknown);

The image for the baptism (BT's) says that Alain Imison is a Labourer from Bordleymoor.

Could the surname be Ineson rather than Imeson/Imison for other entries :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

It might even be transcribed as Iveson.
