I've had another look this morning but still no luck with a Preedy/Murch marriage
or locating Preedy family
Henry (b1814 St Sepulchre, London), Elizabeth (b1809 St Anne, Middx) &
William Henry (b1838 St Margt Westr, Middx) on 1841 census

Jane Elizabeth Preedy Baptism 10 Jul 1842 St Margaret
Father:   Henry Preedy occ Labourer  Mother:   Elizabeth abode  Carpenter’s Build’

Possible  marriage for Jane Elizabeth - index only

Elizabeth Jane Preedy to George Abercrombie Taylor on
31 Dec 1876 St James Westminster London her father Henry Preedy
   
I can’t find a baptism for Henry Preedy & Elizabeth’s son
William Henry Preedy born c 1838 Westminster or
his birth entry on FreeBMD or GRO indexes showing mmn 

Trying to see if I can locate any more info. on Chas Fisher (son in law)
born c 1828 St Anne’s occ labourer living 24 Princes Row (1851) with the Preedy
family

Jane is on Henry's death cert so that is the right marriage.

It's very very strange that there is no marriage between Henry and Elizabeth. His Father was John was married to an Elizabeth Scates (according to my American Cousin). She has assumed that Henry married Elizabeth Murch.

William Henry (1838 - 1912) is my ancestor. I have not found him on the GRO indexes at all (nothing with a mmn of Murch)

I have looked through Ancestry, FindMyPast, Freereg, Familysearch but all to no avail.

Presumably if you don’t have a birth or baptism for William then you don’t know that he was born in 1838 rather than 1837 - and if before 1 July 1837 there certainly won’t be a birth registration.

There’s a 14 July 1834 St James, Westminster burial for a Charles Fisher aged 33 - may be relevant.

Abode at the time: Middlesex Hospital.

Presumably if you don’t have a birth or baptism for William then you don’t know that he was born in 1838 rather than 1837 - and if before 1 July 1837 there certainly won’t be a birth registration.
