Wyke Regis Parish Registers
« on: Tuesday 30 October 18 16:27 GMT (UK) »
An added back-stop  :)

I've been looking, on Dorsetopc (a wonderful facility), at the parish registers for Wyke Regis.  I've noted that there are NO burials recorded, via the parish registers or BT's, for 1864.  Any ideas anyone?  I have sent a message to them, and await a response.

I have also sent a message (no telephone numbers available) to Dorset History Centre asking the same question - according to their catalogue entry there is no gap for 1864.

Just wondered if anyone knew something  :-\

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Possibly because they have not been transcribed, the digital images are available on Ancestry.

Doh, I didn't look there  :-[ :-[

Added:  I have apologised for troubling both Dorsetopc and Dorset History Centre  :-[

It is so easy to forget the obvious when we are desperately searching for something, we all do it. :)
