Italy to England early 18th Century
« on: Thursday 01 November 18 16:54 GMT (UK) »
I'm seeking early (birth/baptism) records for Cosimo COSIMI 1795 - 1875
He left Tuscany (Lucca? Barga? Florence?) as a figure maker.
Married and settled in Bristol.

Grateful for any assistance.

In most towns/cities wher there is a sizeable population of people from other countries there will be a Society or Association where those people met and helped each other,
Try googling something like Bristol’s Italian community and see where it takes you.
They will perhaps have descendants in the present day group.
Hope you get some good results.
 Iktoria.

after searching that geneanet site and looking for COSIMI - Italy 1700's there was only 1 familytree - and it is from Santa Luce , Pisa ,Italy - when you posted Lucca - could it be Santa Luce ??
https://gw.geneanet.org/msanguinetti?n=cosimi&oc=&p=maria+rosaria+settimia

do you know if any of his children were named Dominico or Alessandra ?...Maria Rosario Comini b 1799 Santa Luce may be worth making a note of  :)

There is an Anglo-Italian family history society.
