They say you cannot teach old dogs new tricks and I'm beginning to think they are right.

This person helped me and I have a question for her.  How do I find her or send her a message.
At the top of my page it says Welcome Serendipity and says I only have 3 messages..........I've had plenty more which are not showing or at least I cannot find them again.
Help please.

Hi serendipity,

I'm not sure, but I think you may be confusing "messages" and "postings"

In your profile it says you have made 17 postings, i.e. public replies to topics.

The "You have 3 messages" message, at the top of the page refers to PMs or Personal Messages, which are sent between members privately

If you want to see your older postings, click on your name, and in your profile, you can click on "Show the last posts of this person."

I hope this helps, but if I've misunderstood the problem, then ask again

Thanks so much for that info. 
I'm used to using the rootsweb query boards and yes, they are very different.
I'm very excited about this site and I will get the hang of it soon.
