Please a suggestion for the  nicest font for a family tree.   Not too plain but readable.

Many thanks,   Annette

I think you need to choose for yourself from the 100s of choices for your Family Tree as we all have different likes/dislikes etc.

It also depends on who will be reading it i.e. older people with not too good eyesight, is it to be displayed in a frame i.e. a bit more fancy...many things to consider.

Personally for me it depends on who, whether to be framed, colour choice etc. but I quite like Lucida Calligraphy which is not too plain & not too fancy, a happy medium.

Thankyou Annie.   I do not think I will be framing it but It will be quite big and I love the fonts used on TV genealogy shows.   I know handwritten ones are super but the  computer will be fine for me and to unroll the work is exciting.

I have linked my husband's tree back to the Vikings - yes I know it really isn't proven but I was thrilled to go back so far.   I will have to give it some thought.  But do love all those kings!

Thankyou again,    Annette

I love Lucinda Calligraphy, and I set the colour to as close as possible to the dark blue ink I used to use with my fountain pen... It comes out 'just right' when I print on quality paper, and it looks spectacular when I plot it out on my A1 plotter.

That is interesting ,    JM.   I would not have considered a colour other than black but I will try an ink blue.
Yes I do like Lucinda.

Will do some testing.   Thankyou,

Annette
