I thought it was Eliza you were asking about, in order to link her to the Jeffries.

I don’t see how you can be sure that the Eliza on the earlier census is the same as the one on the census with the Jeffries.

So, you are actually looking for John’s folks?

Siblings?

I apologise if i wrote it up wrong, i tend to do that a lot!

What i know of John Jefferies

From 1861 TO 1891 Census, he was born between 1819-1826 and was born either Henley on thames, Oxforshire OR in Middlesex, London. John Jefferies was mostly a lamplighter starting from 1861 so his occupation before that is blurry. John married in 1855 and on the marriage cert he puts his father down as "John Jefferies, Butler"

It has been extremely difficult to track Johns baptism down as it's key to find his mother which can then help me find a possible marriage. As you can see, birth year and location is inconsistent but that's what he chose to have put down

John lived in Middlesex most of his life and in 1891 he moved to Fulham, i believe he lived there up until his death in 1899.

One to look at

1841 732/23/3
St George Hanover Sauare

John Jeffreys 45 yrs Labourer
Charlotte Jeffreys 42 yrs
John Jeffreys 20 yrs Labourer
Elizh Jeffreys 16 yrs
Sarah Jeffreys    14 yrs
Henry Jeffreys   8 yrs
George Jeffreys   6 yrs
Emma Jeffreys   8 yrs

Thanks for the info, i've had a look at the census however at this time i think im going to stick with the 1841 census with Eliza Parker as it's more of "possible" connection.

Was John a widower on his marriage to Louisa?
What was his occupation and address on his marriage?

John was a bachelor when he married Louisa, he was currently a lamplighter, fixing what I mentioned earlier, 1855 is the earliest known occupation rather than lamplighter written on 1861 census. I couldn't make out the address however someone said Praed steet, known for Butler's at the time. I didn't understand what he meant.

Just for reference, finally found the elusive 1841:

Will we assume it is a sister with him?

Is it a workhouse?

I would also like to know this, thank you for posting that 1841 census, I could not find it at all. On the census it says Shouldham Street. I also think John is living with his sister Eliza however even though I out her on my tree, I've got no links for her.
