Could someone help me with a marriage which appears to be from my tree, but I can't trace the couple. March 1897 Daniel Lee (27) married Sarah Elizabeth Lowsley (22) in Sculcoats Hull. I cant find Elizabeth on my quite large tree. There is another Lowsley/Lousley family in Sculcoats at this time, but the marriage cert suggests this is my clan. I have the marriage cert.

Sarah's father was John Lowsley, lighterman, deceased by 1897, which is a common name in my family (the other Lousleys have more Irish sounding forenames). Also Sarah's address is 11 George St, Lime Street, which I'm sure my family lived in at some point (but I can't pinpoint them.)


This may turn out to be one of my brick walls so I am keeping my fingers crossed.


Daniel's father was Robert Lee, Builder's foreman also of George St. the witnesses are Benjamin Lowsley (one of my family names) and Ann Vale

Is this not Sarah on the 1901 census as Sarah Elizabeth Traves
Civil Parish Sculcoates Town Kingston Upon Hull
Theophilis Traves age 35 general labourer
Sarah Elizabeth Traves 25 born Hull Yorkshire she is down as his wife
Rose Ann Traves age 3 born Hull Yorkshire
Elizabeth Traves age 1 born Hull Yorkshire

On the later census she is down as married and Theophilus is single

Gro records for daughter Rose Ann Lee mothers maiden name Lowsley born 1898 Sculcoates
Elizabeth Traves daughter born 1900 Sculcoates mother's maiden name Lowsley
There are several other births as Traves/Lee
Is this her ?
