Hi again.

An interesting post.

Had another look tonight on the big www but with little joy.

The three common aspects that I see are:-

All wearing similar [work ?] vests. Possibly sheepskin, leather out. Or is that a name across the pockets.

All using similar primative skates.

All using some forn of stick/bat. Similar length to baseball bats of the era. Hockey sticks are much longer so that they can reach the ground some distance from the player, and polo sticks are normally mallets.

Did find two more images of interest but not UK ones. Did not find industrial teams in similar dress.

Hi again.

Further research reveals there were a number of competing designs of three wheeled "Skooter Skates" & "Skate Board Scooters" in the 1920's and early 1930's. If anyone has experience searching the UK press online services.

I would suggest your big photo was during an industrial dispute as one gentleman appears to be wielding a pick-axe handle rather than a baseball bat.

The way they are holding sticks looks similar how guns would be held during parade etc. Looks like lots of women in crowd so could it maybe be some sort of fun thing at a day out rather than an actual game.  Could it be in 1920s
