James Shipwash Hall
« on: Sunday 04 November 18 08:10 GMT (UK) »
I am a direct descendent of James (originally from Hothfield Kent )and his wife Rosetta who settled at Newham Victoria in the late 1870's . Have just got back from a fact finding mission including inspection of their Gravesites and farm.

Have a number of gaps in my tree and it would be great hear from any other descendants .

Why not say what the gaps are and folk here will be able to assist?

Hello Tones
I have James in my tree (I am descended from his uncle John.)  I have a lot of information about the Sheepwash/Shipwash family.
When you have made enough posts, drop me a PM and we can compare notes.  As others have said, what are you looking for and what do you already know?

Yes it is.

Didn't previously have information on Lucy

George Joseph Richmond b18 Apr 1848 - sister of Rosetta  . Emigrated to England Sep 1859 . Cannot find any confirmable information after 1901 England Census.

Arthur Frederick John Hall b Sep 1884. - Son of James and Rosetta. Cannot find any confirmable information after 1925 Australia Electoral Roll.

Any further information on these two would be appreciated.

Tony

Is this George in the 1901 census born Tasmaina Aus 1848?:
https://tinyurl.com/y8yc2nxd

If so:
Possible death Mar 1902
Richmond    George    aged 53    Shoreditch    1c   41

If 1901 census is correct then fits with location Shoreditch and age fits as George born April 1848 would not have been 54 until the April of 1902

1891 census with a wife Elizabeth?:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:3132-DW2

Possible Marriage Mar 1885
JENKINS    Elizabeth        Strand    1b   685
RICHMOND    George         Strand    1b   685

Possible Elizabeth in 1901 census:

Possible widow of George Richmond in 1911 census:

Death for Elizabeth:
