Thomas Reekie was born on 17/9/1886 in St. Monance, Fife, Scotland.

He was the only son of Thomas Reekie and Helen Easson. His father tragically drowned when he fell overboard from the fishing vessel Respect on 20/3/1889 when Thomas was barely 3 years old.

Thomas Reekie - Service No 266863 served with A Company 1st/6th Btn. Black Watch and is commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial Panel 37.
