Western Clunes Farm, Kiltarlity - McEan name change to Fraser
« on: Monday 05 November 18 05:11 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I have posted a separate enquiry on the following link seeking a translation of a baptismal record from Kiltarlity dated 1705.  The name in particular was McEan which became Fraser in 1748.

It has been suggested that some of my additional questions may best be posted to this forum, so here goes:

I have references to quite a few Frasers at Wester Clunes.  Can anyone advise me whether they would have all been related?  In other words, did the children and their subsequent families tend to stay on the leased farms owned by their parents or is this just a coincidence?
Many thanks for any advice which may be offered in regards this.
Regards
Chris
