Waters & Schofield - Pontefract from 1900's
« on: Monday 05 November 18 14:24 GMT (UK) »
Emma Elizabeth Waters married William C Schofield in Pontefract in 1931. I know Emma was born 1910 in London. I cannot be sure when, or where William C Schofield was born. Would like to trace his line back through the Census records. I suppose an option would be a marriage certificate, which would give me his age and perhaps that of his father. I am pretty sure that William was born in West Yorkshire, as the Waters were living in Castleford/Pontefract.

familysearch has 1916 Canada census details:

Manitoba

Alfred Schofield, 40, born England
Maud, 37, born England
Allan,10, born England
William C,7, born Manitoba

The census is available on Ancestry but I don't have subscription for it.

Impressive work, sgf. Just to say that you can view the 1916  Prairie Provinces census using the Canada Library and Archives site. Address given as 433 Parkview St, Winnipeg.Year of emigration given as 1906- it confirms Alfred's occupation as butcher.
