Hi,

It might be best to have the thread moved to "Handwriting recognition". There are a number of experts there on German handwriting.

I think the age is 53 (drei und fünfzig), although the spelling of "funfzig" looks a bit weird, so maybe I'm wrong.

The bit after "Sohn von" looks to me like "Eltern deren Namen..." (parents whose names), but I really can't be sure.

Let's hope one of the experts comes along. :-)

Thank you very much for that. Agree this should be in the Handwriting Recognition section - can't find out how to move it though.
I do have 1 more small text to decipher but I'll pm it if you don't mind.

Well done, Dave! (As always.  )

The "60" threw me - so there is an "s" between the "h" and the "z". And the "z" looks like a "g"... No wonder I was confused. But at least I got the "Eltern deren Namen" bit right! 

I thought it said something like "MechanikXX", but wasn't sure, as I didn't know whether Stande would refer to his working or marital status.

I love this website. I just keep learning here.
