I remember a previous thread in the USA where Archibald Dawson (1883) son of George Dawson and Janet Waddell was given a birth date of 7 December 1883 and a WW1 Draft card was found for him in Fond Du Lac County no 1, Wisconsin USA -  reply 2 below.

Rather confused why you are looking for another Archibald Dawson (same parents) with a different birth date  ???  Unless you have discovered the other one you gave details for was not correct  ???

Sandra,

I suspect your thought of being the wrong person is correct?

From the other thread...

"Archibald shows up on the Draft Registration Card in Fond du Lac County, Wiscconsin.  He states his nearest relative as Archie Reid of Janesville, Wisconsin.  His WWII draft registration card has him married to Christina and living in  St. Paul.  He states he was born 7 Dec 1882 in Aberdeen."

That Archibald is the only one born Aberdeen 1882 - 1884...

DAWSON ARCHIBALD 1882 (no middle initial/name)
212/ 25 Kinnethmont

OP's man (on this thread)...

DAWSON ARCHIBALD WADDE 1883
486/ 77 Muiravonside

It may have been an idea to add a link to the original post, stating the mix-up/wrong person & a link there to this thread for any further info. to be directed here?

"death of an Archibald Dawson aged 79 in Bath, Somerset, 1963"

Looks a good bet as it does fit with his movements & age/Yob?
