BOWLING gravestones in St. Mary's Churchyard Kirk Bramwith
« on: Tuesday 06 November 18 19:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Is there anyone near Kirk Bramwith who would be willing to visit the St. Mary's Churchyard in Kirk Bramwith and see if there are any gravestones with the surname BOWLING and would you take a picture of them for me?  I am looking for a picture of the gravestones for:

John Bowling (death Nov 1794)
Mary Bowling (death Aug 1771)
Susannah Bowling (death Oct 1850)
William Bowling (death May 1848)

If possible, it would also be nice to have either a picture or and inscription of the gravestone:
Eliza Bowling (death Jul 1877)
Elizabeth Bowling (death Apr 1821)
Elizabeth Bowling (death Feb 1785)
Frances Bowling (death Aug 1768)
Isaac Bowling (death Jul 1887)
Richard Bowling (death 1765)
Thomas Bowling (death Jan 1788)
Thomas Bowling (death Mar 1768)
William Henry Bowling (death Dec 1872)

Thank you,

Liisa

If all else fails, Doncaster & District FHS has a CD of the headstones MIs at Kirk Bramwith.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks!  I will look into it.  Unfortunately, in the past, I have run in to the problem of not being able to use UK CDs or DVDs on the Canadian machines.  I will contact them and see if their CDs will work on my side.

I contacted to Doncaster and District FHS and they indicated that they have not heard of issues for Canadians using their CDs so I ordered the monument inscription one that is relevant.  Now it's a wait and see  :)

I have received the CDs and didn't find anything on there.  Also, one of the church personnel had a look around the graveyard and couldn't find any gravestones.

Thanks everyone for you help and suggestions.

This thread is now COMPLETED.
