Andrew Simpson b Wood Farm Wark baptized 16 June 1828 in the parish
« on: Tuesday 06 November 18 21:08 GMT (UK) »
Andrew was the son of Andrew Simpson & Wife Barbara (formerly Milburn)

No sign of Andrew or his mother on 1841 census as Andrew senior is a widower

Barbara was from Birtley . Could Andrew have died visiting her relatives?

No idea as IGI is incomplete on Bishops Transcripts
Any ideas? ta

An online tree on Ancestry states son Andrew bp.16/6/1828 was buried at Birtley a week later, on 23/6/1828.

Someone on the photo restoration board may be able to help, not sure you can post the image there as its not yours, but the original size is available to download from the site, so someone may be willing to do it privately for you to see if they can make the inscription a bit clearer.
