Lost Wife - Mary Ann Cunningham

Looking for any information on Mary Ann Cunningham wife of Walter Bishop married 1885 Nottinghamshire, 1891 census Walter (Walden)and daughter Ethel Sophia aged 4 lodging with Mary Gill @ Family in Nottinghamshire where is Wife?
1901 census Walter and daughter boarding with Charles Flinders @ family
Walter is down as Widowed.
Do not know where Mary Ann Cunningham born or died.
Any info thank you

You did't give a DOB could this be her

I am not convinced she had died (Walter was still married in 1891).  Have you seen his marital status in 1911?

I womder whether she was committed to some sort of institution after Ethel’s birth, hence no more children?

I think you’re going to need the marriage certificate, or a parish register lookup, to find out more about Mary Ann including paternal details which in turn may help you trace her birth.

The marriage took place on 1 February 1885 at St Ann’s, Nottingham.

In 1911 census he is a boarder with a John Allen @ his wife Mary Ann Allen who also came from Stoke Cannon where Walter was born

Walter is down as married
