Hi.  Well I have been having a good search through the records.  I now can trace back to my great great grandparents.  I have their names but can't trace back any further.  Dathai you were right Eliza Condron senior and family did move to Scotland.  John Condron must have been there in 1901 looking for employment and a home for the family.  I can now picture my family in Crettyard along with all the siblings.  Now I have to get all my bits and pieces of information in order.    I am a very happy person thank you all.

Yes, it does take a bit of time to line them all up!   ;D

At least, by doing them yourself you learn how to Search etc and can add siblings, their Marriages, children etc as much as you want over time and can doodle on a winter's day etc looking at your leisure.

Plus, if you are ever visiting, bring copies of tree as you probably have information they don't have!

We all get stuck when records run dry and there is always here where you can ask if stuck!

Hello, I'm stuck with my great, great grandmothers maiden name and  I'm looking for help please.  According to her death certificate(in Scotland) her parents were Martin Delaney and Eliza Delaney maiden name Rennie.  I've been searching the records and can't find any connection to Delaney-Rennie.  Rennie seems to be mostly in Northern Ireland.  What I have found in the parish records for Ballyraggat is a baptism in 1850 for a Eliza Delaney whose parents are Martin Delaney and Eliza ? looks like Freany or franey.  There's also two more records in 1853 and 1860 with the same parents, again the mothers maiden name looks like Freney or Franey, could they all be siblings?
So I was thinking if the name Freany, Freney could sound like Rennie in Scotland and therefore entered in the  death certificate as Rennie.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello, re my last post.  Apologies as I got the Parish wrong.  It's Mayo and Doonane parish records and all I'm looking for is some to confirm that the name of Eliza Delaneys mother is Franey, Freaney or Freney.  Baptism record of 13/5/1850 .

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Not convinced it begins with an F, think it might be a T

You need to check out if there are examples of F's in the same hand in the register.

Thank you Sinann for responding to my message.  You could be right about it being a T.   I think the name could be Treary.  I had a look at an image of a death certificate for a Treary and it does look like it.  I also looked at the parish records and sometimes it looks like a T or F.
I am totally confused now,  maybe that is not my great grandmothers baptism record and I should be looking for a Rennie after all.  Maybe some records just aren't there, but I will keep looking.

Thank you again

The one opposite is obviously Farrell, so I make yours to be F  also  Freany
