Thank you for the new information , now I know Elizabeth was the boys mother I would like to pursue her.  There were 3 sons  Samuel b1891.   Charles Arthur b1892   ( known as Arthur ). Frederick b1895.  I looked at the 1881 census found. Henry Wolstenholme b1859.  Elizabeth b1860. Wolverhampton son Joseph b1880. They were living at Brinsworth  Rotherham.  Is this my Henry ?
I cannot find a census for 1891 when Elizabeth would still. be living. Any ideas ?    Thanks Tineke

Thank you all for the information.  Sorry for delayed reply ,having computer problems. .What is the best way to find details of Joseph Wolstenholme. Henry’s father    I have found a Joseph Wolstenholme in Sheffield b 1829. but have no way of checking to see if it is the correct family. I didn’t realise until I began this search how many Wolstenholme there are , thought it was a fairly uncommon name. Very frustrating.   Thanks Tineke
