Have you seen Simon's actual baptism, sometimes as i have seen on a few occasion's the priest would note later in life that this person was ordained a priest

No, I hadn't seen that before. I've used that site before, but I think I've been concentrating on the parish records side, and overlooked the civil records. I'm going to spend some time today redressing that, I think! Unfortunately no mention on their of an ordination
