1871 Lookup please, Manchester.

John Kean was Born Manchester 1866. I don't have the names of his Parents.

I can't see him on the 1871 or 1881 Censuses, but have found him on the 1891 in Manchester: RG12 Piece: 3192, Folio: 9, Page: 15:

Looks like he may have married Sarah Hannah Kay in Chorlton Reg Dist Q/E June 1885. Hence you could always get that marriage cert to find out his father's name.

There was a John Kean born 1865 in Hulme. Mother's maiden name Butler -- but you would be guessing.

I really think you need to find his marriage in 1885 to obtain actual evidence of father's name.

(One of John's children was a Sarah and her mother's maiden name was Kay -- so pretty confident it's the right marriage -- until someone pops up and proves me wrong!!)

That would explain why Thomas and Elizabeth Kay are with them in 1891.
