I must have missed that, only one O'Brien family Leinster Ave. in 1911 Gratton King O'Brien works for a newspaper thought. Pity

It’s difficult tracing Irish records because a lot of people didn’t register anything, as long as you were baptised , their records were good enough. But only some of the church records are online, which is a shame because they give out such really good information like mothers maiden name and fathers occupation etc.

That’s not necessarily the case and some of your records are more recent.
When you say you know his year of birth and that he was a clerk in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers how certain is this?
Is it from family knowledge?
Is the 1929 record definitely him but sometime between 1929 and 1936 he ‘married’ Bridget Whelan?

Family knowledge says he was a clerk in the army and that he was in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. When I searched for him and found that census it matched.

The Setelle marriage wasn’t hard to find because of the name. The only thing that makes me even question if it is him is his age, the 1886 seemed after a while that it could actually be his father BUT when he marries he marries a widow so I just guessed that perhaps she’s older? He would be what, 42 marrying her? She did have a couple of kids in her first marriage.. so it kinda match’s? Like would a young guy back then marry an older woman, kids and marriage under her belt?

I think the only thing I can say for definite is he married that lady in 1929 and he had a son in 1936 with another woman.

1929 marriage address of Michael is 34 Leinster Avenue.

Perhaps coincidence.

With regard to the Satelles there are 1911 Prison register records for both.
Bridget for Larceny of a shawl. She is listed as Bridget O’Brien, her maiden name with husband as Patrick Satelle and is 20 yrs old.
Patrick is 33 yrs and the offence is ‘assault Bridget Satelle’.

Where is St.Joseph's Parish Dublin?
It's not a civil parish
There is an RC St.Joseph's listed on Irish Genealogy but I can't see it on NLI
Addresses listed on records are places like Crumlin, Tenenure Rd. Kimmage Road

Found it its Terenure

Looking at WW1 medal records, there is only one Michael Francis O'Brien in the ASC: a private, S/29688, 26th Depot Unit of Supply. 1914 Star, BWM and VM. But he's noted as having deserted on 23 September 1916.

On his Military History Sheet it just has a pencil drawn down through it as if he did nothing or went nowhere in the army. At the bottom it gives his next of kin.

What exactly does it say for next of kin?
