Mary was baptised at St Martins, Birmingham as you say the record reads born in the Parish of Tipton  27 Dec 1809.

There are 3 other baptisms at St Martin Sarah 1802 & 1809, William 1807, birth dates recorded but no other detail so not sure if connected to Mary & no later records.

Records for Wolverhampton and surrounding districts are on online & free

http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes

The marriage by License is listed but no detail

As far as I can tell there was only one marriage of David to Sarah in the Midlands.
I did find one more baptism.

John Phillips Baptism 1 Apr 1804 Smethwick, Staffordshire, parents David & Sarah

Thank you very much Colin.  I didn't know about that site, so thanks for the link.

You've given me something to work on.
